The draw of the 29th edition of the U13Cup took place as usual at G.C. de Bijenkorf in Assenede, on Monday, April 13, 2026. As always, some well-known people from the sports world were present. For example, none other than Maarten Martens was called on stage, the man with whom it all started in 1996. Maarten is currently looking for a new team after his years of commitment as a player and trainer at AZ. So he found the necessary time to descend on the Bijenkorf and have his say about the U13Cup. Then it was the turn of Vital Borkelmans, who, like his colleague Maarten, is currently looking for a new club. He will join the U13Cup selection team as T2 during this ‘jobless’ period; a great asset to our young players. We also saw ex-Red Flame Lies Van Hamme on stage. She did the honors of taking care of the U14 Sparks Cup draw. We ended with referees Louis De Coene and Dieter Van Lombergen taking the last balls out of the cups to finalize the draw of the U13 Cup 2026.
